Ezekiel 20:44
Good News Translation
When I act to protect my honor, you Israelites will know that I am the LORD, because I do not deal with you as your wicked, evil actions deserve." The Sovereign LORD has spoken.

And you shall know that I am the LORD, when I deal with you for my name’s sake, not according to your evil ways, or corrupt deeds, O house of Israel, says the Lord GOD.

so you deserve to be punished. But I will treat you in a way that will bring honor to my name, and you will know that I am the LORD God.
