Blessed is He who Fears the Lord

Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord: >

ב

he shall delight exceedingly in his commandments.

ג

2His seed shall be mighty upon earth:

ד

the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.

ה

3Glory and wealth shall be in his house:

ו

and his justice remaineth for ever and ever.

ז

4To the righteous a light is risen up in darkness:

ח

he is merciful, and compassionate and just.

ט

5Acceptable is the man that showeth mercy and lendeth:

י

he shall order his words with judgment:

כ

6because he shall not be moved for ever.

ל

The just shall be in everlasting remembrance:

מ

7 he shall not hear the evil hearing.

נ

His heart is ready to hope in the Lord:

ס

8his heart is strengthened, he shall not be moved

ע

until he look over his enemies.

פ

9He hath distributed, he hath given to the poor:

צ

his justice remaineth for ever and ever:

ק

his horn shall be exalted in glory.

ר

10The wicked shall see, and shall be angry,

ש

he shall gnash with his teeth and pine away:

ת

the desire of the wicked shall perish.
