1And on the third day there was a marriage in Cana, of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there. 2And both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the marriage. 3And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no more wine”. 4Jesus said to her, “Woman, why do you involve Me? My hour has not yet come.” 5His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever He tells you.” 6And nearby there were six waterpots of stone, of the type that the Jews used for ceremonial washing, each with the capacity of two or three firkins (twenty to thirty gallons). 7Jesus told them, “Fill the waterpots with water”. And they filled them to the brim. 8And then He said to them, “Now draw out some, and take it to the master of ceremonies”. And they did so. 9When the master of ceremonies had tasted the water that was made into wine, not knowing where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the governor of the feast called the bridegroom aside, 10And said to him, “Everyone sets out the best wine at the beginning and, when the guests have well drunk, then that which is less expensive; but you have kept the best wine until now”. 11This that Jesus did in Cana, of Galilee, was the beginning of the miracles that He did, by which He revealed His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.

12After this He, His mother, His brothers, and His disciples went down to Capernaum; where they stayed for a few days.

13And it was almost time for the Jews' Passover, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem, 14And found people seated there in the temple courts, selling oxen, sheep and doves, and money-changers; 15And when He had made a whip out of small cords, He drove them all out of the temple, along with the sheep, and oxen; and dumped out the changers' money, and overturned their tables; 16And He said to them that sold doves, “Get these out of here; stop making My Father's house a house of merchandise”. 17And His disciples remembered that it is written (in Psalm 69:9), “The zeal of Your house has eaten me up”. 18Then some of the Jews reacted by saying to Him, “What sign can You show us, to prove You have authority to do these things that You do?” 19Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up”. 20Then the Jews said, “This temple was forty-six years being built, and will You raise it back up in three days?” 21But the temple He spoke of was His body. 22 Therefore, when, He was raised from the dead, His disciples recalled what He had said to them; and they believed the scripture, and the words which Jesus had spoken.

23Now while He was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many saw the miracles which He did and believed in His name. 24But Jesus did not entrust Himself to them, because He knew all people, 25And He did not need any testimony about human nature, because He already knew what was in each person’s heart.
