1Now when He had come down from the mountainside, large crowds followed Him. 2And a man with leprosy came and knelt before Him, and said, Lord, if You are willing, You can cleanse me of my leprosy”. 3And Jesus put out His hand, and touched him, and said, I will; be thou clean”. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed (cured). 4And Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one; but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.

5And when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, begging Him for help, 6And saying, Lord, my servant lies at home, paralyzed by palsy, and grievously tormented”. 7And Jesus said to him, I will come and heal him”. 8Then the centurion replied, Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof; but just speak the word, and my servant shall be healed. 9For I am a man under authority of my superiors, and have soldiers under my authority; and I say to this man, ‘Go’, and he goes; and to another, ‘Come’, and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this’, and he does it”. 10When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those that followed Him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith, no, not one. 11And I say to you that many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and take their place in the kingdom of heaven. 12But many children of the kingdom (Israelites, for whom the kingdom was prepared), shall be cast (thrown) out into outer darkness; where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth”. 13And Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so be it has been done for you”. And his servant was healed in the very same hour.

14And when Jesus had come into Peter's house, He saw Peter's mother-in-law lying in bed, sick with a fever. 15And He touched her hand, and the fever left her; and she arose, and began to wait upon Him. 16When evening came, they brought to Him many that were demon-possessed; and He drove out the evil spirits with His word, and healed all that were sick; 17This fulfilled what was spoken by Isaiah, the prophet: He, Himself took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses”.

18Now when Jesus saw large crowds around Him, He told His disciples to cross to the other side of the Sea of Galilee. 19And then a certain scribe came and said to Him, Master, I will follow You wherever You go”. 20And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds have nests; but the Son of man has no place to lay His head”. 21And another of His disciples said to Him, Lord, first let me go and bury my father”. 22But Jesus said to him, “Follow Me; and let the dead bury their dead”.

23And then He got into a boat with His disciples and they started across the Sea of Galilee. 24And there arose a fierce storm on the sea, so that the waves swept over the boat; but Jesus was asleep. 25And His disciples came and awakened Him, saying, “Lord, save us; we are about to sink and drown”. 26And He replied; “Why are you so afraid, O you of little faith?” Then He arose, and rebuked the winds and waves; and it became completely calm. 27But His disciples were amazed and said, “What kind of man is This, that even the winds and the sea obey Him!”

28And when He had come to the other side into the region of the Gadarenes, there met two demon-possessed men came out of the tombs to meet Him. They were so violent, that no man could pass by there. 29And they cried out, saying, “What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the appointed time?” 30And there happened to be a large herd of swine feeding a good way off from them. 31So then demons begged Him, saying, “If You cast us out (of these two men), allow us to go into that herd of swine”. 32And He said to them, “Go”. And so, when they came out (of the men), they entered the herd of swine; and the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep hillside and plunged into the sea, and drowned in the water. 33And those that tended the herd of pigs ran off, and went into the city, and told everything, and especially what had happened to those who had been possessed by the demons (devils). 34And then the whole city came out to meet Jesus; and when they saw Him, they pleaded with Him that He would go away from their region and leave them alone.
