Psalm 141
Easy Reader Bible: Purple Letter EditionKJP
A Psalm of David.

1LORD, I call to You; come to me quickly; and hear me when I cry unto You. 2Let my prayer be set before You like incense; and my lifting of my hands, like the evening sacrifice. 3Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; secure the door of my lips. 4Keep my heart from any evil thing, from engaging in wicked deeds with men that work iniquity; do not let me share in their delicacies. 5Let a righteous man strike me; his rebuke shall be a kindness. So let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head; for yet my prayer also shall be to opposer evil deeds.

6When their judges are thrown down from the cliffs, the wicked shall hear my words; and find them true. 7Like rocks brought to the earth’s surface by a plow, so our bones are scattered at the mouth of the grave. 8But my eyes are fixed upon You, O God; in You is my trust; do not leave my soul destitute. 9Help me avoid the traps which the workers of iniquity have set for me. 10Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I escape.
