To the chief Musician, Al-tashheth, A Psalm or Song of Asaph. 1We give thanks to You, O God, unto You do we give praise; for Your name is near; and we tell of Your wondrous works.
When I shall choose the set time, and receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.
When the earth and all its inhabitants quake, it is I Who bear up (support) is pillars. Selah.
I said to the arrogant, “Be not boastful”; and to the wicked, “Do not raise your horn in self-glorification;
Do not lift it on high; do not speak with insolent pride”.
For promotion comes neither from the east, the west, nor from the south.
But it is God Who judges; He puts down one, and exalts another.
For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is fully mixed; and He pours out of the same; but the dregs of it all the wicked of the earth shall drink and drain.
But as for me. I will proclaim forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted. A Psalm or Song of Asaph. Easy Reader Bible: Purple Letter Edition © 2023 by Jim Musser. Used by Permission. All rights Reserved. Bible Hub |
