Jeremiah 45
Peshitta Holy Bible Translated Par ▾
1The word that Jeremiah spoke to Baruk, son of Neriah, when he wrote these words on a scroll from the mouth of Jeremiah in the fourth year of Yoiqim, son of Yoshiah, King of Judea, saying 2Thus says LORD JEHOVAH of Hosts, God of Israel, about you, Baruk: 3“You have said: ‘Woe, for LORD JEHOVAH has added misery unto my sorrow! I am weary with my groaning, and I have not found rest!’ 4Thus say to him: ‘Thus says LORD JEHOVAH, “Behold, the thing that you have built I have cast down, and anything that you have planted I break down, and I am putting all the land to the sword 5And you, (but you have sought for yourself great things; you shall not seek what is greater than you, because, behold, I am bringing evil on everybody, says LORD JEHOVAH), and I shall grant you that you shall save your life in all places wherever you will go”
