The New Messianic Version of the Bible 1And Ben-Hadad [son of the (false god) Hadad] the king of Aram (Syria) [exalted] gathered all his host together: and [there were] thirty and two kings with him, and horses, and chariots: and he went up and besieged Shomron [watch mountain], and warred against it.
And he sent messengers to Ach’av [father’s brother] king of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] into the city, and said unto him, Thus says Ben-Hadad [son of the (false god) Hadad],
Your1s silver and youri gold [is] my; youri wives also and youri children, [even] the best, [are] my.
And the king of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] answered and said, My lord, O king, according to youri saying, I [am] yoursi, and all that I have.
And the messengers came again, and said, Thus speaks Ben-Hadad [son of the (false god) Hadad], saying, Although I have sent unto youi, saying, youi shall deliver me youri silver, and youri gold, and youri wives, and youri children;
Yet I will send my servants unto youi tomorrow about this time, and they shall search youri house, and the houses of youri servants; and it shall be, [that] whatsoever is pleasant in youri eyes, they shall put [it] in their hand, and take [it] away. 7Then the king of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] called all the elders of the land, and said, Mark, I pray you, and see how this [man] seeks mischief: for he sent unto me for my wives, and for my children, and for my silver, and for my gold; and I denied him not. 8And all the elders and all the people said unto him, Listen not [unto him], nor consent. 9For what reason he said unto the messengers of Ben-Hadad [son of the (false god) Hadad], Tell my lord the king, All that youi did send for to youri servant at the first I will do: but this thing I may not do. And the messengers departed, and brought him word again. 10And Ben-Hadad [son of the (false god) Hadad] sent unto him, and said, The gods do so unto me, and more also, if the dust of Shomron [watch mountain] shall suffice for handfuls for all the people that follow me. 11And the king of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] answered and said, Tell [him], Let not him that put on [his harness] boast himself as he that puts it off. 12And it came to pass, when [Ben-Hadad [son of the (false god) Hadad]] heard this message, as he [was] drinking, he and the kings in the pavilions, that he said unto his servants, Set [yourselves in array (to put on; to clothe)]. And they set [themselves in array (to put on; to clothe)] against the city. 13And, behold, there came a prophet unto Ach’av [father’s brother] king of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], saying, Thus says the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), Have youi seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into youri hand this day; and youi shall know that I [am] the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate). 14And Ach’av [father’s brother] said, By whom? And he said, Thus says the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), [Even] by the young men of the princes of the provinces. Then he said, Who shall order the battle? And he answered, youi. 15Then he numbered the young men of the princes of the provinces, and they were two hundred and thirty two: and after them he numbered all the people, [even] all the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], [being] seven thousand. 16And they went out at noon. But Ben-Hadad [son of the (false god) Hadad] [was] drinking himself drunk in the pavilions, he and the kings, the thirty and two kings that helped him. 17And the young men of the princes of the provinces went out first; and Ben-Hadad [son of the (false god) Hadad] sent out, and they told him, saying, There are men come out of Shomron [watch mountain]. 18And he said, Whether they be come out for peace, take them alive; or whether they be come out for war, take them alive. 19So these young men of the princes of the provinces came out of the city, and the army which followed them. 20And they killed everyone his man: and the Aram [Syrians] fled; and Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] pursued them: and Ben-Hadad [son of the (false god) Hadad] the king of Aram (Syria) [exalted] escaped on an horse with the horsemen. 21And the king of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] went out, and struck the horses and chariots, and killed the Aram [Syrians] with a great slaughter. 22And the prophet came to the king of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], and said unto him, Go, strengthen yourself, and mark, and see what youi do: for at the return of the year the king of Aram (Syria) [exalted] will come up against youi. 23And the servants of the king of Aram (Syria) [exalted] said unto him, Their gods [are] gods of the hills; therefore they were stronger than we; but let us fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they. 24And do this thing, Take the kings away, every man out of his place, and put captains in their rooms: 25And number youi an army, like the army that youi have lost, horse for horse, and chariot for chariot: and we will fight against them in the plain, [and] surely we shall be stronger than they. And he listened unto their voice, and did so. 26And it came to pass at the return of the year, that Ben-Hadad [son of the (false god) Hadad] numbered the Aram [Syrians], and went up to Aphek [Enclosure], to fight against Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God]. 27And the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] were numbered, and were all present, and went against them: and the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] pitched before them like two little herds of goats; but the Aram [Syrians] filled the country. 28And there came a man of God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], and spoke unto the king of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], and said, Thus says the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), Because the Aram [Syrians] have said, The LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) [is] God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] of the hills, but he [is] not God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into youri hand, and you2f shall know that I [am] the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate). 29And they pitched one over against the other seven days. And [so] it was, that in the seventh day the battle was joined: and the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] killed of the Aram [Syrians] an hundred thousand footmen in one day. 30But the rest fled to Aphek [Enclosure], into the city; and [there] a wall fell upon twenty and seven thousand of the men [that were] left. And Ben-Hadad [son of the (false god) Hadad] fled, and came into the city, into an inner chamber. 31And his servants said unto him, Behold now, we have heard that the kings of the house of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] [are] merciful kings: let us, I pray youi, put sackcloth on our waist, and ropes upon our heads, and go out to the king of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God]: perhaps he will save youri life. 32So they girded sackcloth on their waist, and [put] ropes on their heads, and came to the king of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], and said, Your1s servant Ben-Hadad [son of the (false god) Hadad] says, I pray youi, let me live. And he said, [Is] he still alive? he [is] my brother. 33Now the men did diligently observe whether [anything would come] from him, and did hastily catch [it]: and they said, Your1s brother Ben-Hadad [son of the (false god) Hadad]. Then he said, Go you2f, bring him. Then Ben-Hadad [son of the (false god) Hadad] came forth to him; and he caused him to come up into the chariot. 34And [Ben-Hadad [son of the (false god) Hadad]] said unto him, The cities, which my father took from youri father, I will restore; and youi shall make streets for youi in Dammesek (Damascus) [silent is the sackcloth weaver], as my father made in Shomron [watch mountain]. Then [said Ach’av [father’s brother]], I will send youi away with this covenant. So he made a covenant with him, and sent him away. 35And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said unto his neighbour in the word of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), Strike me, I pray youi. And the man refused to strike him. 36Then said he unto him, Because youi have not obeyed the voice of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), behold, as soon as youi are departed from me, a lion shall slay youi. And as soon as he was departed from him, a lion found him, and killed him. 37Then he found another man, and said, Strike me, I pray youi. And the man struck him, so that in striking a blow he wounded [him]. 38So the prophet departed, and waited for the king by the way, and disguised himself with bandages over his eyes. 39And as the king passed by, he cried unto the king: and he said, Your1s servant went out into the thick of the battle; and, behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man unto me, and said, Keep this man: if by any means he be missing, then shall youri life be for his life, or else youi shall pay a talent (weight of money; weight; gift) of silver. 40And as youri servant was busy here and there, he was gone. And the king of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] said unto him, So [shall] youri judgment [be]; yourself have decided [it]. 41And he hasted, and took the ashes away from his face; and the king of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] he discerned that he [was] of the prophets. 42And he said unto him, Thus says the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), Because youi have let go out of [youri] hand a man whom I appointed to utter destruction, therefore youri life shall go for his life, and youri people for his people. 43And the king of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] went to his house heavy and displeased, and came to Shomron [watch mountain].
