The New Messianic Version of the Bible 1Yoshiyahu [whom Yehovah heals] [was] eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace] one and thirty years.
And he did [that which was] right in the sight of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), and walked in the ways of David [beloved] his father, and declined [neither] to the right hand, nor to the left.
For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] of David [beloved] his father: and in the twelfth year he began to purge Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] and Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace] from the high places, and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images.
And they broke down the altars of Ba’alim [lords (false gods)] in his presence; and the images, that [were] on high above them, he cut down; and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images, he broke in pieces, and made dust [of them], and strewed [it] upon the graves of them that had sacrificed unto them.
And he burnt the bones of the priests upon their altars, and cleansed Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] and Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace].
And [so did he] in the cities of M’nasheh [Causing to Forget], and Efrayim [Doubly Fruitful], and Shim’on [he who hears], even unto Naftali [My Wrestling], with their mattocks round about.
And when he had broken down the altars and the groves, and had beaten the graven images into powder, and cut down all the idols throughout all the land of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], he returned to Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace]. 8Now in the eighteenth year of his reign, when he had purged the land, and the house, he sent Shafan [coney] the son of Atzalyahu [Yehovah has set apart], and Ma’aseiyah [work of Yehovah] the governor of the city, and Yo’ach [Yahovah is brother] the son of Yo’achaz [Yehovah has grasped] the recorder, to repair the house of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) his God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered]. 9And when they came to Hilkiyahu [my portion is Yehovah] the High Priest, they delivered the money that was brought into the house of God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], which the Levi’im (Levites) [Joined to] that kept the doors had gathered of the hand of M’nasheh [Causing to Forget] and Efrayim [Doubly Fruitful], and of all the remnant of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], and of all Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] and Binyamin [Son of the Right Hand/Strength]; and they returned to Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace]. 10And they put [it] in the hand of the workmen that had the oversight of the house of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), and they gave it to the workmen that wrought in the house of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), to repair and amend the house: 11Even to the artificers and builders gave they [it], to buy cut stone, and timber for couplings, and to floor the houses which the kings of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] had destroyed. 12And the men did the work faithfully: and the overseers of them [were] Yachat [He will snatch up] and ‘Ovadyah [servant of Yehovah], the Levi’im (Levites) [Joined to], of the sons of M’rari [Bitter]; and Z’kharyah [Yehovah remembers] and Meshulam [friend], of the sons of the K’hati, to set [it] forward; and [other of] the Levi’im (Levites) [Joined to], all that could skill of instruments of music. 13Also [they were] over the bearers of burdens, and [were] overseers of all that wrought the work in any manner of service: and of the Levi’im (Levites) [Joined to] [there were] scribes, and officers, and porters. 14And when they brought out the money that was brought into the house of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), Hilkiyahu [my portion is Yehovah] the priest found a book of the law of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) [given] by Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters]. 15And Hilkiyahu [my portion is Yehovah] answered and said to Shafan [coney] the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate). And Hilkiyahu [my portion is Yehovah] delivered the book to Shafan [coney]. 16And Shafan [coney] carried the book to the king, and brought the king word back again, saying, All that was committed to youi servants, they do [it]. 17And they have gathered together the money that was found in the house of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), and have delivered it into the hand of the overseers, and to the hand of the workmen. 18Then Shafan [coney] the scribe told the king, saying, Hilkiyahu [my portion is Yehovah] the priest has given me a book. And Shafan [coney] read it before the king. 19And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the law, that he rent his clothes. 20And the king commanded Hilkiyahu [my portion is Yehovah], and Achikam [my brother has arisen] the son of Shafan [coney], and Avdon [Servile] the son of Mikhay’hu [Who is Like God?], and Shafan [coney] the scribe, and ‘Asayah [made by Yehovah] a servant of the king's, saying, 21Go, enquire of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) for me, and for them that are left in Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] and in Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised], concerning the words of the book that is found: for great [is] the wrath of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) that is poured out upon us, because our fathers have not kept the word of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), to do after all that is written in this book. 22And Hilkiyahu [my portion is Yehovah], and [they] that the king [had appointed], went to Huldah [weasel] the prophetess, the wife of Shalum [retribution] the son of Tikevah [hope], the son of Hasrat [lack], keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace] in the college:) and they spoke to her to that [effect]. 23And she answered them, Thus says the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], Tell you2f the man that sent you to me, 24Thus says the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, [even] all the curses that are written in the book which they have read before the king of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised]: 25Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be poured out upon this place, and shall not be quenched. 26And as for the king of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised], who sent you to enquire of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), so shall you2f say unto him, Thus says the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] [concerning] the words which youi have heard; 27Because youri heart was tender, and youi did humble yourself before God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], when youi heard his words against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, and humbled yourself before me, and did rend (tear apart; forcefully rip apart) youri clothes, and weep before me; I have even heard [youi] also, says the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate). 28Behold, I will gather youi to youri fathers, and youi shall be gathered to youri grave in peace, neither shall youri eyes see all the evil that I will bring upon this place, and upon the inhabitants of the same. So they brought the king word again. 29Then the king sent and gathered together all the elders of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] and Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace]. 30And the king went up into the house of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), and all the men of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised], and the inhabitants of Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace], and the priests, and the Levi’im (Levites) [Joined to], and all the people, great and small: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant that was found in the house of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate). 31And the king stood in his place, and made a covenant before the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), to walk after the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant which are written in this book. 32And he caused all that were present in Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace] and Binyamin [Son of the Right Hand/Strength] to stand [to it]. And the inhabitants of Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace] did according to the covenant of God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], the God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] of their fathers. 33And Yoshiyahu [whom Yehovah heals] took away all the abominations out of all the countries that [pertained] to the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], and made all that were present in Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] to serve, [even] to serve the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) their God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered]. [And] all his days they departed not from following the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), the God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] of their fathers.
