2 Samuel 19
The New Messianic Version of the Bible
1And it was told Yo’av [Yehovah is father], Behold, the king weep and mourns for Avshalom [my father is peace]. 2And the victory that day was [turned] into mourning unto all the people: for the people heard say that day how the king was grieved for his son. 3And the people got them by stealth that day into the city, as people being ashamed steal away when they flee in battle. 4But the king covered his face, and the king cried with a loud voice, O my son Avshalom [my father is peace], O Avshalom [my father is peace], my son, my son! 5And Yo’av [Yehovah is father] came into the house to the king, and said, youi have shamed this day the faces of all youi servants, which this day have saved youri life, and the lives of youri sons and of youri daughters, and the lives of youri wives, and the lives of youri concubines; 6In that youi love youri enemies, and hate youri friends. For youi have declared this day, that youi regard neither princes nor servants: for this day I perceive, that if Avshalom [my father is peace] had lived, and all we had died this day, then it had pleased youi well. 7Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably unto youi servants: for I swear by the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), if youi go not forth, there will not wait one with youi this night: and that will be worse unto youi than all the evil that befell youi from youi youth until now.

8Then the king arose, and sat in the gate. And they told unto all the people, saying, Behold, the king does sit in the gate. And all the people came before the king: for Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] had fled every man to his tent. 9And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], saying, The king saved us out of the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the hand of the P’lishtim [Immigrants]; and now he is fled out of the land for Avshalom [my father is peace]. 10And Avshalom [my father is peace], whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why speak you2f not a word of bringing the king back?

11And king David [beloved] sent to Tzadok [righteous] and to Avyatar [my father is great] the priests, saying, Speak unto the elders of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised], saying, Why are you2f the last to bring the king back to his house? seeing the speech of all Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] is come to the king, [even] to his house. 12You2f [are] my brethren, you2f [are] my bones and my flesh: wherefore then are you2f the last to bring back the king? 13And say you2f to ‘Amasa [burden], [Are] youi not of my bone, and of my flesh? God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] do so to me, and more also, if youi be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Yo’av [Yehovah is father]. 14And he bowed the heart of all the men of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised], even as [the heart of] one man; so that they sent [this word] unto the king, Return youi, and all youi servants. 15So the king returned, and came to Yarden [Descender]. And Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] came to Gilgal [A Wheel, Rolling], to go to meet the king, to conduct the king over Yarden [Descender].

16And Shime’i [Fame] the son of Gera [A Grain], from the tribe of Binyamin [A Son of the Right Hand], which [was] of Bachurim [young men’s village], hasted and came down with the men of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] to meet king David [beloved]. 17And [there were] a thousand men of Binyamin [Son of the Right Hand/Strength] with him, and Tziva [statue] the servant of the house of Sha’ul [desired], and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went over Yarden [Descender] before the king. 18And there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king's household, and to do what he thought good. And Shime’i [Fame] the son of Gera [A Grain] fell down before the king, as he was come over Yarden [Descender]; 19And said unto the king, Let not my lord impiute (charge to one’s account; reckon) iniquity unto me, neither do youi remember that which youi servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace], that the king should take it to his heart. 20For youi servant does know that I have sinned: therefore, behold, I am come the first this day of all the house of Yosef [(God) He Shall Add] to go down to meet my lord the king. 21But Avishai [my father is a gift] the son of Tz’ruyah [balsam] answered and said, Shall not Shime’i [Fame] be put to death for this, because he cursed the LORD-Yehovah’s [Messiah Pre-Incarnate] anointed? 22And David [beloved] said, What have I to do with you, you2f sons of Tz’ruyah [balsam], that you2f should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God]? for do not I know that I [am] this day king over Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God]? 23Therefore the king said unto Shime’i [Fame], youi shall not die. And the king swore unto him.

24And M’fivoshet [exterminating the idol] the son of Sha’ul [desired] came down to meet the king, and had neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came [again] in peace. 25And it came to pass, when he was come to Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace] to meet the king, that the king said unto him, For what reason went not youi with me, M’fivoshet [exterminating the idol]? 26And he answered, My lord, O king, my servant deceived me: for youi servant said, I will saddle me an ass, that I may ride thereon, and go to the king; because youi servant [is] lame. 27And he has slandered youi servant unto my lord the king; but my lord the king [is] as an angel of God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered]: do therefore [what is] good in youi eyes. 28For all [of] my father's house were but dead men before my lord the king: yet did youi set youi servant among them that did eat at youi own table. What right therefore have I yet to cry any more unto the king? 29And the king said unto him, Why speak youi any more of youi matters? I have said, youi and Tziva [statue] divide the land. 30And M’fivoshet [exterminating the idol] said unto the king, Yes, let him take all, forasmuch as my lord the king is come again in peace unto his own house.

31And Barzillai [my iron] the Gil’adi [Hill of Testimony] came down from Rogelim [place of fullers], and went over Yarden [Descender] with the king, to conduct him over Yarden [Descender]. 32Now Barzillai [my iron] was a very aged man, [even] eighty years old: and he had provided the king of sustenance while he lay at Machanayim [Two Camps]; for he [was] a very great man. 33And the king said unto Barzillai [my iron], Come youi over with me, and I will feed youi with me in Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace]. 34And Barzillai [my iron] said unto the king, How long have I to live, that I should go up with the king unto Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace]? 35I [am] this day eighty years old: [and] can I discern between good and evil? can youi servant taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? wherefore then should youri servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king? 36You1s servant will go a little way over Yarden [Descender] with the king: and why should the king recompense it me with such a reward? 37Let youri servant, I pray youi, turn back again, that I may die in my own city, [and be buried] by the grave of my father and of my mother. But behold youri servant Khimham [their longing]; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good unto youi. 38And the king answered, Khimham [their longing] shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto youi: and whatsoever youi shall require of me, [that] will I do for youi. 39And all the people went over Yarden [Descender]. And when the king was come over, the king kissed Barzillai [my iron], and Blessed (Favored by God; happy; prosperous) him; and he returned unto his own place.

40Then the king went on to Gilgal [A Wheel, Rolling], and Khimham [their longing] went on with him: and all the people of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] conducted the king, and also half the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God]. 41And, behold, all the men of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] came to the king, and said unto the king, Why have our brethren the men of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] stolen youi away, and have brought the king, and his household, and all David’s [beloved]’s men with him, over Yarden [Descender]? 42And all the men of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] answered the men of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], Because the king [is] near of family to us: wherefore then be you2f angry for this matter? have we eaten at all of the king's [cost]? or has he given us any gift? 43And the men of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] answered the men of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised], and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more [right] in David [beloved] than you2f: why then did you2f despise us, that our advice should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] were fiercer than the words of the men of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God].
