1And Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] abode in Sheetim [The Acacias], and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Mo’av [Seed of my Father]. 2And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods. 3And Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] joined himself unto Ba’al-P’or [Lord of the Opening]: and the anger of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) was kindled against Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God]. 4And the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) said unto Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters], Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) may be turned away from Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God]. 5And Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] said unto the judges of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], Slay you^2f every one his men that were joined unto Ba’al-P’or [Lord of the Opening].

6And, behold, one of the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] came and brought unto his brethren a Midyani woman in the sight of Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters], and in the sight of all the congregation of the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], who [were] weeping [before] the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. 7And when Pinchas [mouth of brass], the son of El’azar [God has helped], the son of Aharon [Bright, Very High] the priest, saw [it], he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand; 8And he went after the man of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], and the woman through her belly. So the plague was detained (held) from the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God]. 9And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.

10And the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) spoke unto Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters], saying, 11Pinchas [mouth of brass], the son of El’azar [God has helped], the son of Aharon [Bright, Very High] the priest, has turned my wrath away from the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] in my jealousy. 12For what reason say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace: 13And he shall have it, and his seed after him, [even] the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], and made an atonement for the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God].

14Now the name of the Israeli that was slain, [even] that was slain with the Midyani woman, [was] Zimri [My Music], the son of Salu [Weighted], a prince of a chief house among the Shimoni. 15And the name of the Midyani woman that was slain [was] Kozbi [My Lie], the daughter of Tzur [Rock]; he [was] head over a people, [and] of a chief house in Midyan [Strife].

16And the LORD-Yehovah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) spoke unto Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters], saying, 17Vex the Midyanim [Strife], and strike them: 18For they vex you with their wiles, which they have beguiled you in the matter of P’or [Cleft (split hoof; an opening, break or split)], and in the matter of Kozbi [My Lie], the daughter of a prince of Midyan [Strife], their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for P’or [Cleft (split hoof; an opening, break or split)]'s sake.
