1[[A Psalm (sacred song about or to God) of Asaph [Gatherer].]] O God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], the heathen are come into yourⁱ inheritance; yourⁱ holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Yerushalayim [Foundation Of Peace] on heaps.

2The dead bodies of yourⁱ servants have they given [to be] meat unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of yourⁱ saints unto the beasts of the earth.

3Their blood have they shed like water round about Yerushalayim [Foundation Of Peace]; and [there was] none to bury [them].

4We are become a reproach (disgrace; shame) to our neighbours, a scorn and ridicule (laughing at enemies’ threats) to them that are round about us.

5How long, LORD-Yehovah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate]? will youⁱ be angry forever? shall yourⁱ jealousy burn like fire?

6Pour out yourⁱ wrath upon the heathen that have not known youⁱ, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon yourⁱ name.

7For they have devoured Ya’akov [Heel of God], and laid waste his dwelling place.

8O remember not against us former iniquities: let yourⁱ tender mercies speedily prevent (come before; go before; anticipate) us: for we are brought very low.

9Help us, O God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] of our salvation, for the glory of yourⁱ name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for yourⁱ name's sake.

10For what reason should the heathen say, Where [is] their God-Elohim (The Living Word) [The Many Powered]? let him be known among the heathen in our sight [by] the revenging of the blood of yourⁱ servants [which is] shed.

11Let the sighing of the prisoner come before youⁱ; according to the greatness of yourⁱ power preserve youⁱ those that are appointed to die;

12And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach (disgrace; shame), wherewith they have reproached youⁱ, O Lord-Adonai [Greatest Above All Things].

13So we yourⁱ people and sheep of yourⁱ pasture will give youⁱ thanks forever: we will show forth yourⁱ praise to all generations.
