Of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— whom shall I dread? The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom should I fear? The LORD is the defense of my life; Whom should I dread? Of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked came upon me to devour my flesh, my enemies and foes stumbled and fell. When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall. When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. When evildoers came upon me to devour my flesh, My adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell. When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall.
Though an army encamps around me, my heart will not fear; though a war breaks out against me, I will keep my trust. Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. If an army encamps against me, My heart will not fear; If war arises against me, In spite of this I am confident. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.
One thing I have asked of the LORD; this is what I desire: to dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and seek Him in His temple. One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple. One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple. One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD And to meditate in His temple. One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; He will conceal me under the cover of His tent; He will set me high upon a rock. For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. For on the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; He will hide me in the secret place of His tent; He will lift me up on a rock. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.
Then my head will be held high above my enemies around me. At His tabernacle I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the LORD. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD. And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, And I will offer sacrifices in His tent with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD. Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD.
Hear, O LORD, my voice when I call; be merciful and answer me. Hear, O LORD, when I cry aloud; be gracious to me and answer me! Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. Hear, LORD, when I cry with my voice, And be gracious to me and answer me. Hear my voice when I call, LORD; be merciful to me and answer me.
My heart said, “Seek His face.” Your face, O LORD, I will seek. You have said, “Seek my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, LORD, do I seek.” When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “I shall seek Your face, LORD.” My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, LORD, I will seek.
Hide not Your face from me, nor turn away Your servant in anger. You have been my helper; do not leave me or forsake me, O God of my salvation. Hide not your face from me. Turn not your servant away in anger, O you who have been my help. Cast me not off; forsake me not, O God of my salvation! Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. Do not hide Your face from me, Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not abandon me nor forsake me, God of my salvation! Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, God my Savior.
Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me. For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the LORD will take me in. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up. For my father and my mother have forsaken me, But the LORD will take me up. Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.
Teach me Your way, O LORD, and lead me on a level path, because of my oppressors. Teach me your way, O LORD, and lead me on a level path because of my enemies. Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. Teach me Your way, LORD, And lead me on a level path Because of my enemies. Teach me your way, LORD; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.
Do not hand me over to the will of my foes, for FALSE witnesses rise up against me, breathing out violence. Give me not up to the will of my adversaries; for false witnesses have risen against me, and they breathe out violence. Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. Do not turn me over to the desire of my enemies, For false witnesses have risen against me, And the violent witness. Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, spouting malicious accusations.
Still I am certain to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living! I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. I certainly believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
Wait patiently for the LORD; be strong and courageous. Wait patiently for the LORD! Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD! Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.
