5 And Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam and the leaders of Judah who were gathered together in Jerusalem because of Shishak, and he said to them, “Thus says YHWH, ‘You⁺ have forsaken Me; and also I have abandoned you⁺ all into the hand of Shishak.’” 6 And the leaders of Israel humbled themselves—and the king—and they said, “Righteous is YHWH.” 7 And when YHWH saw that they had humbled themselves, the word of YHWH came to Shemaiah, saying, “They have humbled themselves; I will not destroy them, and I will give to them a little thing for escape, and My wrath shall not be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak. 2 Chronicles 12:5-7, Berean Literal Bible.
