And in the third year of his reign he sent his leaders Ben-hail, and Obadiah, and Zechariah, and Nethanel, and Michaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah,

and with them the Levites—Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and Tob-adonijah, the Levites—and with them Elishama and Jehoram the priests.

And they taught in Judah, and with them was the Book of the Law of YHWH, and they went around in all the cities of Judah, and they taught the people.

And the dread of YHWH fell on all the kingdoms of the lands that were around Judah, and they did not fight against Jehoshaphat.

And some of the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat gifts and silver as tribute, and the Arabs brought to him from the flock seven thousand and seven hundred rams, and seven thousand and seven hundred male goats.

And Jehoshaphat went on even to increasingly becoming great, and he built in Judah fortresses and storage cities.

And was unto him much property in the cities of Judah, and the men of war, mighty men of valor, were in Jerusalem.

And these are their numbers according to the houses of their fathers: Of Judah, the captains of thousands: Adnah the captain, and with him mighty men of valor, three hundred thousand.

And next to him Jehohanan the captain, and with him two hundred and eighty thousand.

And next to him Amasiah son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself to YHWH, and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of valor.

And of Benjamin: A mighty man of valor, Eliada, and with him two hundred thousand armed with bow and shield.

And next to him Jehozabad, and with him a hundred and eighty thousand equipped for war.

These served the king, besides those whom the king put in the fortified cities throughout all Judah.
