8 In the days of Jehoram, Edom (red) rebelled against the hand of Judah (praised) and appointed their own king.

9 So Jehoram (YHWH is exalted) crossed into Edom with his officers and all his chariots. When the Edomites (red) surrounded him and his chariot commanders, he rose up and attacked (he went out and escaped) by night.

10 So to this day Edom (red) has been in rebellion against the hand of Judah (praised). Likewise, Libnah (pavement) rebelled against his hand at the same time, because Jehoram had forsaken the LORD, the God {YHWH Elohe} of his fathers.
