7 And from God was the downfall of Ahaziah for his coming to Joram. And when he came, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu son of Nimshi, whom YHWH had anointed to cut off the house of Ahab. 8 And it came to pass, in Jehu executing judgment on the house of Ahab, that he found the princes of Judah and the sons of the brothers of Ahaziah who served Ahaziah, and he killed them. 9 And he searched for Ahaziah, and they caught him, and he was hiding in Samaria. And they brought him to Jehu, and they killed him and buried him, for they said, “He is son of Jehoshaphat, who sought YHWH with all his heart.” And there was no one from the house of Ahaziah to retain power over the kingdom. 2 Chronicles 22:7-9, Berean Literal Bible.
