1 Now after the uproar had ceased, Paul, having summoned the disciples and having encouraged them, having said farewell, went out to go to Macedonia. 2 And having passed through those districts and having exhorted them with much talk, he came to Greece. 3 And having continued three months, a plot having been made against him by the Jews, he being about to sail into Syria, a purpose arose to return through Macedonia. 4 And he was accompanied by Sopater son of Pyrrhus, a Berean, and Aristarchus, and Secundus of the Thessalonians, and Gaius of Derbe, and Timothy, and the Asians Tychicus and Trophimus. 5 But these, having gone ahead, waited for us in Troas. 6 And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of the Unleavened, and within five days we came to them at Troas, where we stayed seven days.
