1 SIX days before the passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. 2 And they gave him a banquet there; Martha served; but Lazarus was one of the guests who were with him. 3 Then Mary took a cruse containing pure and expensive nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
