John 14:1-11 ▼

1 “ Let not your⁺ heart be troubled. You⁺ believe in God; believe also in Me.

2 In My Father’s house are many dwelling places. And if not so, would I have told you⁺ that I am going to prepare a place for you⁺?

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you⁺, I am coming again, and I will receive you⁺ to Myself, so that where I am, you⁺ may be also.

4 And you⁺ know the way to where I am going.”

5 Thomas says to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going; how can we know the way?”

6 Jesus says to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father if not through Me.

7 If you⁺ had known Me, you⁺ would also have known My Father. From now, you⁺ know Him and have seen Him.”

8 Philip says to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.”

9 Jesus says to him, “Am I with you⁺ so long a time, and you have not known Me, Philip? The one having seen Me has seen the Father. How do you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words that I speak to you⁺ I do not speak from Myself; but the Father dwelling in Me does His works.

11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; but if not, believe because of the works themselves.
