7 there comes a woman out of Samaria to draw water. Jesus says to her, “Give Me to drink”; 8 for His disciples were gone away into the city that they may buy food; 9 the Samaritan woman therefore says to Him, “How do You, being a Jew, ask drink from me, being a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealing with Samaritans. 10 Jesus answered and said to her, “If you had known the gift of God, and who it is who is saying to you, Give Me to drink, you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” John 4:7-10, Literal Standard Version.
