1 And passing along, He saw a man blind from his birth. 2 And His disciples asked Him, saying, Master, who sinned, this one, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus responded, Neither did he nor his parents sin; but that the works of God may be made manifest in him. 4 It behooveth us to work the works of Him that sent us, while it is day: the night comes, when no one is able to work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 6 Saying these words, He spat on the ground, and made mortar out of the spittle, and besmeared the mortar on his eyes, 7 and He said to him; Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is interpreted, Sent).
