7 I was a son of forty years when Moses the servant of YHWH sent me from Kadesh-barnea to spy out the land, and I brought back to him word as with my heart. 8 And my brothers who went up with me made the heart of the people melt, and I wholly followed after YHWH my God. 9 And Moses swore on that day, saying, ‘Nevertheless, the land where your foot has trodden in it shall be to you for an inheritance, and to your sons, even to forever, because you have wholly followed YHWH my God.’ Joshua 14:7-9, Berean Literal Bible.
