3 ‘Any man of the house of Israel who slaughters an ox or lamb or goat in the camp, or who slaughters it outside of the camp, 4 and does not bring it to the door of the Tent of Meeting to bring it near as an offering to YHWH before the face of the tabernacle of YHWH—blood shall be reckoned to that man; he has shed blood, and that man shall be cut off from among his people, 5 in order that the sons of Israel bring their sacrifices, which they are sacrificing upon the face of the field, and bring them to YHWH, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, to the priest, and sacrifice them as sacrifices of peace offerings to YHWH. 6 And the priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of YHWH at the door of the Tent of Meeting, and he shall burn the fat for a pleasing aroma to YHWH. 7 And they shall no longer sacrifice their sacrifices to the goat demons after whom they have prostituted themselves. This shall be an everlasting statute for them throughout their generations.’ 8 And you shall say to them: Any man from the house of Israel, and from the sojourners who sojourn in their midst, who brings near a burnt offering or a sacrifice 9 and does not bring it to the door of the Tent of Meeting to do it to YHWH—then that man shall be cut off from his people.
