12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands upon you⁺ and will persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, leading you away before kings and governors on account of My name. 13 It will result to you⁺ for a testimony. 14 Settle, therefore, in your⁺ hearts not to premeditate to make a defense. 15 For I will give you⁺ a mouth and wisdom, which all those opposing you⁺ will neither be able to resist nor contradict. 16 And you⁺ will be delivered up even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and they will put to death some of you⁺. 17 And you⁺ will be hated by all because of My name. 18 And no, not a hair of your⁺ head shall perish. 19 By your⁺ perseverance you⁺ will gain your⁺ souls.
