And from there, having risen up, He comes into the borders of Judea, and beyond the Jordan. And again crowds come together to Him, and as He had been accustomed, again He was teaching them.

And having come, the Pharisees were questioning Him whether it is lawful for a husband to send away a wife—testing Him.

And answering, He said to them, “What did Moses command you??”

And they said, “Moses allowed us to write a roll of divorce and to send her away.”

But Jesus said to them, “For your? hardness of heart he wrote you? this commandment;

but from the beginning of creation, ‘He made them male and female.’

‘On account of this a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,

and the two will be for one flesh,’ so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.

Therefore what God has yoked together, let man not separate.”

And in the house again, the disciples were questioning Him about this.

And He says to them, “Whoever shall send away his wife and shall marry another, he commits adultery against her.

And if a woman, having divorced her husband, shall marry another, she commits adultery.”

And they were bringing little children to Him so that He might touch them, but the disciples rebuked them.

And having seen, Jesus was indignant and said to them, “Permit the little children to come to Me; do not forbid them! For of such is the kingdom of God.

Truly I say to you?, whoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall never enter into it.”

And having taken them in His arms, He was blessing them, having laid the hands on them.
