3 And they come, bringing to Him a paralytic, being carried by four. 4 And not being able to bring him to Him through the crowd, they unroofed the roof where He was, and having dug it out, they let down the mat on which the paralytic was lying. 5 And Jesus, having seen their faith, says to the paralytic, “Child, your sins are forgiven.” 6 But there were some of the scribes sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, 7 “Why does this man speak thus? He blasphemes! Who is able to forgive sins except One—God?” 8 And immediately Jesus, having known in His spirit that they are reasoning thus in themselves, says to them, “Why do you? reason these things in your? hearts? 9 Which is easier: to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Arise, and take up your mat, and walk’? 10 But so that you? may know that the Son of Man has authority to forgive sins on the earth...” He says to the paralytic, 11 “I say to you, arise, take up your mat, and go to your house.” 12 And he arose, and immediately, having taken up the mat, he went out before all, so as for all to be amazed and to glorify God, saying, “Never thus did we see!” Mark 2:3-12, Berean Literal Bible.
