14 He appointed twelve of them, whom He designated as apostles (sent ones), to accompany Him, to be sent out to preach, 15 and to have authority [to heal sicknesses, and] to drive out demons. 16 These are the twelve He appointed: Simon (hearing) (whom He named Peter), 17 James (supplanter / follower) son of Zebedee (YHWH has given) and his brother John (YHWH is gracious) (whom He named Boanerges, meaning “Sons of Thunder”), 18 Andrew (manly), Philip (friend of horses), Bartholomew (son of Talmai), Matthew (Gift of YHWH), Thomas (twin), James (supplanter / follower) son of Alphaeus (exchange), Thaddaeus, Simon (hearing) the Zealot \Simon the Cananean/, 19 and Judas (praise) Iscariot, who betrayed Jesus \who also betrayed Him/.
