11 And answering, He said to them, “Because to you? it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of the heavens, but to these it has not been given. 12 For whoever has, it will be given to him, and he will be in abundance. And whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 13 Because of this I speak to them in parables: ‘Because seeing, they do not see, and hearing, they do not hear, nor do they understand.’ 14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, saying: ‘In hearing you? will hear and never understand; and seeing, you? will see and never perceive. 15 For the heart of this people grew dull, and they barely hear with the ears, and they closed their eyes, lest ever they might see with the eyes, and might hear with the ears, and might understand with the heart, and might return, and I will heal them.’ 16 But blessed are your? eyes because they see, and your? ears because they hear. 17 For truly I say to you? that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you? see and did not see, and to hear what you? hear and did not hear.
