17 tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to pay tribute to Cæsar, or not? 18 But Jesus knew their wicked design, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? 19 Shew me the money for the tribute; and they brought him a denarius. 20 And he saith unto them, Whose figure is this and inscription? 21 They say unto him, Cæsar's.
