5 And, throwing the pieces of silver into the temple, he withdrew; and, going away, he hanged himself. 6 And the high priests, taking the pieces of silver, said, "It is not lawful to cast them into the treasury, since it is the price of blood." 7 And, taking counsel, they bought with them the field of the potter, for a burial-place for the strangers. 8 Wherefore, that field was called "A field of blood" until this day.
