Numbers 2:1-20 ▼

1 And YHWH spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,

2 “Each man under his own standard, beside the emblems of the house of his father, the sons of Israel shall camp; some distance from the Tent of Meeting they shall camp.

3 And the ones camping on the east side, toward the rising of the sun, of the standard of the camp of Judah by their hosts: And the leader of the sons of Judah is Nahshon son of Amminadab,

4 and his host was numbered at four and seventy thousand and six hundred.

5 And the ones camping next to him are the tribe of Issachar, and the leader of the sons of Issachar is Nethanel son of Zuar.

6 And his army was numbered at four and fifty thousand and four hundred.

7 Then the tribe of Zebulun, and the leader of the sons of Zebulun is Eliab son of Helon.

8 And his army was numbered at seven and fifty thousand and four hundred.

9 All who were numbered of the forces with Judah were a hundred thousand and eighty thousand and six thousand and four hundred, according to their armies. They shall set out first.

10 The standard of the forces with Reuben is on the south side, according to their armies: And the leader of the sons of Reuben is Elizur son of Shedeur;

11 and his army was numbered at six and forty thousand and five hundred.

12 And those who camp next to him is the tribe of Simeon, and the leader of the sons of Simeon is Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.

13 And his army was numbered at nine and fifty thousand and three hundred.

14 And the tribe of Gad, and the leader of the sons of Gad is Eliasaph son of Deuel.

15 And his army was numbered at five and forty thousand and six hundred and fifty.

16 All who were numbered of the forces with Reuben were a hundred thousand and one and fifty thousand and four hundred and fifty, according to their armies. And they shall set out second.

17 And the Tent of Meeting with the camp of the Levites shall set out in the middle of the camps; as they camp, so they shall set out, every man in his place, by their standards.

18 The standard of the forces with Ephraim, according to their armies, is on the west side: And the leader of the sons of Ephraim is Elishama son of Ammihud,

19 and his army was numbered at forty thousand and five hundred.

20 And Next to him is the tribe of Manasseh, and the leader of the sons of Manasseh is Gamaliel son of Pedahzur.
