7 And the inheritance of the sons of Israel shall not change hands from tribe to tribe, for a man of the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers, the sons of Israel shall cling to. 8 And every daughter who possesses an inheritance in any tribe of the sons of Israel shall be a wife of one of the family of the tribe of her father, so that the sons of Israel will have a possession, a man the inheritance of his fathers. 9 And inheritance shall not change hands from one tribe to another tribe, but each of the tribes of the sons of Israel shall keep its inheritance.” Numbers 36:7-9, Berean Literal Bible.
