1 And it came to pass on the day Moses had finished setting up the tabernacle that he anointed it and consecrated it and all its furnishings, and the altar and all its vessels. And he anointed them and consecrated them. 2 The leaders of Israel, the heads of the houses of their fathers, they were the leaders of the tribes; these stood over the numbered and made an offering. 3 And they brought their offering before the face of YHWH, six covered carts and twelve oxen—a cart for every two of the leaders and an ox for each one—and they presented them before the face of the tabernacle. 4 And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying, 5 “Accept these from them, that they may be used in doing the work of the Tent of Meeting. And you shall give them to the Levites, to every man according to his service.” 6 And Moses took the carts and the oxen and gave to them to the Levites. 7 Two carts and four oxen he gave to the sons of Gershon, according to their service, 8 and four carts and eight oxen he gave to the sons of Merari, according to their service, by the hand of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest. 9 And to the sons of Kohath he gave none, because the service of the holy things was theirs, which they carried on the shoulder. 10 And the leaders offered the dedication for the altar when it was anointed, and the leaders offered their offerings before the face of the altar. 11 And YHWH said to Moses, “One the leader for the day—one the leader for the day—they shall offer their offerings for the dedication of the altar.” 12 And it came to pass that the one who brought his offering on the first day was Nahshon son of Amminadab, from the tribe of Judah: 13 And his offering was one silver platter, its weight a hundred and thirty shekels, and one silver bowl, seventy shekels according to the shekel of the sanctuary, the two of them full of fine flour mixed with the oil as a grain offering; 14 one gold spoon, ten shekels, full of incense; 15 one bull, a son of the herd, one ram, and one male lamb, a son of a year, as a burnt offering; 16 one kid of the goats as a sin offering; 17 and for a sacrifice of the peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs, sons of a year. This was the offering of Nahshon son of Amminadab. 18 On the second day Nethanel son of Zuar, the leader of Issachar, drew near. 19 He brought near his offering, one silver platter, its weight a hundred and thirty shekels, and one silver bowl, seventy shekels according to the shekel of the sanctuary, the two of them full of fine flour mixed with the oil as a grain offering; 20 one gold spoon, ten shekels, full of incense; 21 one bull, a son of the herd, one ram, and one male lamb, a son of a year, as a burnt offering; 22 one kid of the goats as a sin offering; 23 and for a sacrifice of the peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs, sons of a year. This was the offering of Nethanel son of Zuar. Numbers 7:1-23, Berean Literal Bible. Public domain.
