Apply Kore's faithfulness daily?
How can we apply Kore's example of faithfulness in our daily responsibilities?

A Snapshot of Kore’s Role

2 Chronicles 31:14: “Kore son of Imnah the Levite, the keeper of the East Gate, was responsible for the freewill offerings to God, to distribute the contributions made to the LORD and the consecrated gifts.”

• Gatekeeper, treasurer, distributor—tasks that required integrity, accuracy, and daily presence.

• Though his work was behind the scenes, God chose to record his name forever, highlighting how heaven values quiet faithfulness.

Faithfulness on Display

• Stewardship: Kore handled other people’s gifts for God, mirroring 1 Corinthians 4:2 “Now it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.”

• Consistency: Every day he opened the gate and managed allocations, echoing Luke 16:10 “Whoever is faithful with very little will also be faithful with much.”

• Transparency: By standing at the East Gate—an open, visible place—he showed that honest service welcomes scrutiny.

Translating Kore’s Example to Our Weekdays

1. Treat ordinary duties as sacred trusts.

Colossians 3:23–24 reminds us we “work … for the Lord and not for men.”

2. Guard what belongs to God and others.

– Time, resources, relationships—all are offerings to handle carefully.

3. Keep predictable rhythms.

– Showing up on time, finishing tasks, returning calls—small habits that build a reputation for reliability.

4. Aim for open integrity.

– Provide clear records, honest reports, straightforward communication; nothing to hide behind the “gate.”

Practical Steps for Faithful Stewardship

• Start each assignment by recognizing its Owner: “This belongs to the Lord.”

• Create simple systems: lists, calendars, budgets—tools that help you distribute resources accurately.

• Seek accountability: invite a trusted believer to review your progress, as Nehemiah 13:13 models with faithful treasurers.

• Celebrate quiet wins: thank God after finishing mundane jobs; they are offerings laid at His altar.

A Promise for the Faithful

Proverbs 28:20: “A faithful man will abound with blessings.”

Matthew 25:21: “Well done, good and faithful servant! … Enter into the joy of your master!”

• God notices gatekeepers and desk-sitters alike; steady obedience today positions us for greater Kingdom assignments tomorrow.

Compare Kore's duties to those of church leaders in 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
