Believers' response to God's power?
How should believers respond when witnessing God's power as seen in Exodus 10:12?

Witnessing the Moment of Power

“And the LORD said to Moses, ‘Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt so that the locusts may swarm over it and devour every plant in the land—everything that the hail has left.’” (Exodus 10:12)

Core Reaction: Awe That Leads to Action

• God’s command and immediate fulfillment remind us that His word never fails (Isaiah 55:11).

• Awe is not passive; it presses us toward concrete responses—obedience, worship, and proclamation (Psalm 33:8-9).

Five Heart-Level Responses for Today

1. Reverent Fear

• Recognize the Lord’s absolute authority (Hebrews 12:28-29).

• Let holy fear guard us from casual attitudes toward sin (Proverbs 8:13).

2. Prompt Obedience

• Moses acted without delay; believers are called to do the same (John 14:21).

• Delayed obedience reveals divided loyalties (James 1:22).

3. Humble Submission

• God used a simple gesture—a lifted hand—to unleash a nation-shaking event, proving that He works through yielded vessels (Micah 6:8).

• Submission positions us to see His power manifested through our lives (James 4:7).

4. Faith-Filled Trust

• The plague came exactly as foretold; His promises and warnings stand sure (Numbers 23:19).

• Trust strengthens when we recall past demonstrations of His might (Psalm 77:11-14).

5. Courageous Witness

• Pharaoh’s court saw God’s supremacy; our circles need that same testimony (1 Peter 2:9).

• Speak of His deeds so others may turn and live (Psalm 96:2-3).

Living It Out This Week

• Begin each day with a verse that magnifies God’s greatness, shaping your outlook (Psalm 145:3).

• Act on the first prompting of the Spirit—call, serve, forgive—without negotiating delay.

• Share one specific instance of God’s power in your life with a friend or family member.

• Chronicle answered prayers and evident providences; reviewing them fuels ongoing trust (Joshua 4:6-7).

In what ways can we trust God's sovereignty in our lives today?
