How can we mirror Christ daily?
In what ways can we reflect Christ's image in our daily actions?

Christ, the Perfect Portrait

“The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.” — Colossians 1:15

Because Jesus visibly embodies the invisible God, our calling is to let His likeness shine through us.

Our New Identity in Him

Romans 8:29: we are “predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son.”

2 Corinthians 3:18: “being transformed into the same image from glory to glory.”

We do not imitate Christ to earn standing; we mirror Him because we already belong to Him.

Daily Practices That Display His Character

• Love sacrificially

John 13:35 “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”

– Choose practical, costly kindness toward family, neighbors, coworkers.

• Walk in humility

Philippians 2:5-8 shows Christ “emptied Himself.”

– Serve without seeking credit; take the lower seat.

• Speak truth with grace

Ephesians 4:25 & 29 urge honest, edifying words.

– Refuse gossip, half-truths, coarse jokes; instead bless and build up.

• Forgive quickly

Colossians 3:13 commands, “just as Christ forgave you.”

– Release grudges, initiate reconciliation.

• Live in purity

Ephesians 4:24 calls us to “put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”

– Guard eyes, thoughts, media intake; honor marriage and singleness alike.

• Radiate compassion

Matthew 9:36 shows Jesus moved with compassion.

– Move toward the hurting, volunteer, give generously.

• Pursue unity

John 17:22-23 links our oneness to Christ’s revelation.

– Resist factionalism; celebrate diverse members of Christ’s body.

• Cultivate gratitude

1 Thessalonians 5:18: “Give thanks in every circumstance.”

– Voice thanks aloud; keep a gratitude list; turn complaints into praise.

• Shine through good deeds

Matthew 5:16: “let your light shine… that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father.”

– Consistent integrity at work, faithful stewardship of time and money.

Empowered by the Spirit

Galatians 5:22-23 lists the Spirit’s fruit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control—traits that reproduce Christ’s image in us. Submit moment-by-moment, and these qualities overflow naturally.

End Goal: God’s Glory

Everything circles back to Colossians 1:15. As we reflect the Image, the invisible God becomes visible in ordinary moments, and He receives the honor He deserves.
