How can we share blessings today?
In what ways can we apply the concept of sharing blessings today?

A Snapshot from the Wilderness Campaign

“Each of the soldiers had taken plunder for himself.” (Numbers 31:53)

The troops were allowed personal spoil, yet the surrounding verses (31:27–31, 50) show them freely giving portions to the LORD, the priests, and the wider community. Possession did not cancel generosity; it provoked it.

Timeless Principles We See

• Everything gained is ultimately from God; ownership is stewardship.

• Blessings meant for one person often become provision for many.

• Voluntary, thankful giving pleases the LORD more than compelled giving.

Practical Ways to Share Blessings Today

1. Support Gospel workers

Galatians 6:6 — “The one who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor.”

• Regularly, intentionally fund pastors, missionaries, and Christian educators.

2. Strengthen the household of faith

Acts 2:44-45 — believers met needs “so there was no needy person among them.”

• Keep an ear out in small groups and church announcements; quietly cover groceries, rent, or medical bills.

3. Invest in the marginalized

Proverbs 19:17 — “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD.”

• Partner with ministries serving widows, orphans, refugees, and the unborn; volunteer time as well as funds.

4. Practice hospitality

Romans 12:13 — “Share with the saints who are in need. Practice hospitality.”

• Open your table weekly: meals after Sunday service, coffee with a lonely neighbor, holiday invites for those far from family.

5. Plan legacy giving

1 Timothy 6:18-19 — “Be rich in good deeds… lay up treasure for the coming age.”

• Write wills and beneficiary designations that channel resources to kingdom causes.

6. Encourage generosity in children

Deuteronomy 6:7 — impress God’s commands on your children.

• Provide allowances with a “give, save, spend” system; let them choose a ministry to bless.

Promises Attached to Generosity

Proverbs 11:25 — “A generous soul will prosper.”

Luke 6:38 — “Give, and it will be given to you… poured into your lap.”

God’s economy never runs deficit; sharing multiplies joy and impact.

A Closing Encouragement

Like the soldiers of Numbers 31, we hold tangible tokens of God’s faithfulness. Open hands turn personal plunder into corporate praise, lighting a trail of gratitude that points straight back to the Giver of every good gift.

How does this verse connect with God's commands in Deuteronomy 20:14?
