How do we live daily with Spirit's life?
How can we live daily, knowing the Spirit "will give life" to us?

The Promise in Romans 8:11

“And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you.”

• The very Spirit who breathed life into Christ’s dead body now makes His home inside every believer.

• That same power guarantees future resurrection and actively infuses everyday living with spiritual vitality.

• “Will give life” is certain—God binds His promise to the historical fact of Jesus’ resurrection.

Life Both Future and Present

• Future: Philippians 3:20-21 assures that our lowly bodies will be “transformed to be like His glorious body.”

• Present: 2 Corinthians 4:16—“Though our outer self is wasting away, yet our inner self is being renewed day by day.”

• We live with one foot in tomorrow’s resurrection while the other steps confidently through today’s routines.

Daily Mindset: Set on the Spirit

Romans 8:5-6—“Those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit… the mind of the Spirit is life and peace.”

• Start each morning by consciously placing thoughts under the Spirit’s influence.

• Refuse to let fear, despair, or fleshly impulses dictate attitude; preach the Spirit’s promise of life to your own heart.

• Affirm aloud: “The Spirit who raised Jesus lives in me; He gives life to this very body today.”

Practical Steps to Walk in Life-Giving Power

• Surrendered Obedience

Romans 12:1: present your body as a living sacrifice; the Spirit energizes what is yielded.

• Continual Prayer

Ephesians 6:18: “Pray in the Spirit at all times.” Invite His life into every task—commuting, meetings, household chores.

• Scripture Intake

John 6:63: “The Spirit gives life; the words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.” Feed on the Word so the Spirit has fresh truth to quicken.

• Fellowship and Accountability

Hebrews 10:24-25: mutual encouragement fans spiritual vitality. Isolation smothers it.

• Active Service

1 Peter 4:10-11: rely on “the strength God provides” so ministry flows from Spirit-life, not human effort.

• Hope-Fueled Outlook

Colossians 3:1-4: keep eyes lifted to the risen Christ; present frustrations shrink when measured against certain resurrection.

Fueling Hope with Scripture

John 14:16-17—The Spirit abides forever; today’s strength will not run dry tomorrow.

Ephesians 1:13-14—The Spirit is “a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance”; each act of daily empowerment is a preview of coming glory.

Galatians 5:16-25—Walk by the Spirit; He produces visible fruit (love, joy, peace…) that proves His life-giving work.

Romans 6:4—“Just as Christ was raised… we too may walk in newness of life.” Resurrection isn’t only an event; it’s a lifestyle.

Closing Assurance

The tomb is empty, the Spirit is present, and the promise is sure. Every chore, conversation, and challenge can be approached with confident expectation: the One who already conquered death is right now breathing His resurrection life into mortal bodies, until the day He perfects that life forever.
