How to fulfill God's purpose today?
How can we ensure we are fulfilling God's purpose in our lives today?

Seeing Your Life Through 1 Chronicles 28:10

“Consider now, for the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary. Be strong and do it.”

What This Verse Reveals About Purpose

• Consider now – pause, think seriously, refuse to drift.

• The LORD has chosen you – purpose originates in God’s sovereign choice, not in chance or self-invention.

• To build – purpose always involves concrete work that blesses others and honors God.

• Be strong – purpose requires courage, discipline, and perseverance.

• Do it – obedience must move from intention to action.

Four Daily Commitments That Keep Us on Track

1. Think Intentionally

– Schedule regular “consider now” moments; evaluate how your activities line up with God’s revealed will.

Psalm 90:12: “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”

– Ask: Am I investing my time in things that have eternal value?

2. Listen to God’s Word First

– Let Scripture define the assignment.

2 Timothy 3:16-17: God’s Word equips “for every good work.”

Romans 12:1-2: Transformation begins by renewing the mind, not by copying the world.

3. Act Courageously

– Courage isn’t the absence of fear; it’s obedience in spite of it.

Joshua 1:9: “Be strong and courageous… the LORD your God is with you.”

– Refuse paralysis by analysis; start with what you know to do today.

4. Persevere Faithfully

Galatians 6:9: “Let us not grow weary in doing good.”

Hebrews 10:36: Endurance is needed to receive what God has promised.

– Small, hidden faithfulness builds the “house” one stone at a time.

Practical Checks for Staying Aligned

• Word Check – Are my plans anchored in clear biblical principles?

• Motive Check – Am I seeking God’s glory or personal applause? (Colossians 3:23-24)

• Body Check – Am I honoring God with healthy rhythms of rest, work, and worship?

• Community Check – Are trusted believers confirming and sharpening my sense of direction? (Proverbs 15:22)

Encouragement From Related Passages

Ephesians 2:10 – You are “created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance.”

Philippians 2:13 – God works in you “to will and to act” according to His purpose.

James 1:22 – “Be doers of the word, and not hearers only.”

2 Timothy 2:20-21 – A cleansed vessel is ready for the Master’s use.

A Closing Reminder

God never issues a command without supplying the grace to obey it. So, consider now. Recognize you’re chosen. Be strong. And do it.
