How to inspire others to praise God?
How can you encourage others to join in exalting God's name?

The Call of Psalm 34:3

“Magnify the LORD with me; let us exalt His name together.” (Psalm 34:3)

David’s invitation is clear and personal. Praise is never meant to stay private; it flourishes in community. God Himself, in giving us this verse, is extending an open call to draw others into shared, wholehearted worship.

Why Exalting God’s Name Matters

• Exalting God honors who He truly is—holy, sovereign, faithful (Psalm 145:3).

• It directs hearts away from self-focus and toward God’s glory (1 Chronicles 16:24).

• Joint praise strengthens unity among believers (Colossians 3:16).

• Public exaltation becomes a witness to the watching world (Matthew 5:16).

Practical Ways to Invite Others Into Praise

1. Share personal testimony

• Tell what God has done for you this week. Real stories stir fresh praise (Psalm 66:16).

2. Open Scripture together

• Read a short psalm aloud and discuss one attribute of God you notice.

• Keep Bibles handy during everyday conversations.

3. Model visible, joyful worship

• Sing with sincerity during gatherings (Ephesians 5:19).

• Express gratitude openly—simple “thank You, Lord” moments prompt others to join in.

4. Use music strategically

• Send a worship song link to a friend.

• Host a casual hymn-sing in your living room.

5. Practice hospitality

• Share a meal and begin by praising God for specific blessings.

• Create a safe space where guests feel free to voice their own gratitude.

6. Serve side-by-side

• Volunteer together; acts of mercy naturally lead to thanking God for His love (Hebrews 10:24).

• After serving, pause to acknowledge God’s enabling grace.

7. Speak of God’s attributes throughout the day

• When you witness beauty, say, “Our Creator is amazing.”

• When provision comes, affirm, “The Lord is our Provider.”

8. Encourage corporate gatherings

• Invite someone to church, a small group, or a Bible study.

• Remind weary believers of the refreshment found in assembling (Hebrews 10:25).

Scripture That Strengthens Our Invitation

Psalm 96:2-3 — “Sing to the LORD, bless His name… Declare His glory among the nations.”

Psalm 145:5-7 — Meditating on God’s wonders fuels contagious praise.

John 12:32 — Jesus promises that when He is lifted up, He will draw people to Himself.

Colossians 3:16 — The Word and worship dwell richly when shared.

Living It Out This Week

• Choose one person and one setting (home, café, walk) where you can naturally speak a word of praise.

• Pick a verse that exalts God’s character; memorize it and weave it into conversation.

• End each day by listing three ways you saw God’s goodness, then share at least one with someone else the next morning.

As you consistently magnify the LORD, your genuine joy will invite others to “exalt His name together,” fulfilling the heart of Psalm 34:3.
