How to inspire others to praise God?
How can we encourage others to join in praising the LORD?

Hearing the Psalmist’s Invitation

Psalm 113:1 sets the tone: “Hallelujah! Give praise, O servants of the LORD; praise the name of the LORD.”

• “Hallelujah” is an imperative. The text literally commands praise.

• The call is corporate—“servants,” plural—so our own praise is meant to ripple outward.

Live a Praiseworthy Life

People are stirred to praise when they see it changing us.

- Psalm 34:1: “I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.” A lifestyle, not a moment.

- Matthew 5:16: Let your light shine so others “may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Practical ways:

• Choose gratitude over grumbling in daily conversations.

• Celebrate answered prayers publicly.

• Own failures, then highlight God’s mercy. Authenticity makes praise believable.

Speak About His Deeds

Praise grows when God’s works are retold.

- Psalm 145:4: “One generation will commend Your works to the next.”

Tips for storytelling:

• Share fresh testimonies—how He provided this week, not just decades ago.

• Link everyday beauty (sunrise, child’s laughter) to the Creator’s hand.

• Use Scripture itself; read a short psalm aloud at gatherings.

Create Spaces of Praise

Environment matters.

• Play worship music in the car or kitchen; guests absorb the atmosphere.

• Open your home for a hymn-sing or Scripture-and-song night.

• On social media, post passages and songs that exalt His name rather than merely opinions.

Invite Through Shared Joy

- Romans 12:15: “Rejoice with those who rejoice.” Enter someone else’s joy, then trace it back to the Giver.

• Celebrate birthdays, promotions, new babies with a word of thanks to God.

• Send notes or texts that say, “Look what the Lord has done!”

Remind of Our Common Identity

Psalm 113:1 calls us “servants of the LORD.” That shared status unites believers.

• Use “we” language: “Let’s praise Him together.”

• Point out that praising God is part of our covenant role (1 Peter 2:9).

Model Continual Praise

- Hebrews 13:15: “Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise.”

• Praise in hardship; people notice steadfast joy.

• Let children and new believers see you singing even when circumstances are heavy.

Encourage Corporate Worship

- Psalm 22:22: “I will declare Your name to my brothers; I will praise You in the assembly.”

• Invite friends to church services, mid-week worship nights, outdoor praise events.

• After the gathering, discuss a lyric or verse that stood out, reinforcing the habit.

Walking This Out Together

When we live gratefully, speak of His wonders, and gather others into joyful spaces, Psalm 113:1 becomes the soundtrack of our community. Your personal hallelujah can spark a chorus—until “from the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the LORD is praised” (Psalm 113:3).

Why is it important to praise God 'from this time forth and forevermore'?
