What steps can we take to seek Christ's revelation in our lives? The Veil Described • “And even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts.” (2 Corinthians 3:15) • The heart is naturally covered; Christ’s beauty is hidden until He lifts the veil. Step 1: Turn to the Lord • “But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.” (3:16) • Repent, believe, and surrender; revelation begins with conversion and daily yielding. Step 2: Welcome the Spirit’s Freedom • “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” (3:17) • Invite the Spirit’s rule; refuse bondage to sin or legalism so His light can flow unhindered. Step 3: Behold His Glory in Scripture • “And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed…” (3:18) • Open the Word expectantly; meditate, memorize, and linger until His character shapes yours. Step 4: Obey What He Reveals • “Whoever has My commandments and keeps them… I will love him and reveal Myself to him.” (John 14:21) • Act on what you know; obedience clears the way for deeper unveiling. Step 5: Seek Him Wholeheartedly • “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13) • Make pursuit of Christ your top priority—time, energy, and affection focused on Him. Step 6: Pray for Enlightened Eyes • “I keep asking that… the Spirit of wisdom and revelation… may open the eyes of your heart.” (Ephesians 1:17-18) • Regularly request spiritual sight; thank Him in advance for the insight He grants. Step 7: Walk in the Light with His People • “If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship…” (1 John 1:7) • “Let us not neglect meeting together… but encourage one another.” (Hebrews 10:24-25) • Share testimonies, study corporately, and receive correction so the veil stays off collectively. Step 8: Pursue Holiness • “Pursue… holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14) • Separate from known sin and cultivate Christ-like habits; purity sharpens spiritual vision. Growing in Continual Revelation • Keep short accounts with God—confess quickly. • Celebrate each fresh glimpse of His character. • Persist; revelation deepens over a lifetime as these steps are practiced daily. |
