How to seek God's guidance daily?
In what ways can we seek God's guidance in our daily decisions?

Setting the Scene

“ ‘Haman is there, standing in the courtyard.’ ‘Have him enter,’ ordered the king.” (Esther 6:5)

Lessons in Divine Direction from One Seemingly Ordinary Verse

• The king’s insomnia, the royal records being read, and Haman’s arrival all converge in perfect sequence.

• None of the players realize God is aligning events, yet His unseen hand is unmistakable.

• Everyday moments—an interrupted night’s sleep, a chance conversation, a sudden thought—may be the very arenas in which God steers our decisions.

Ways to Seek God’s Guidance in Daily Decisions

1. Cultivate alertness to providence

• Stay sensitive to “coincidences” that echo Esther 6:5.

Proverbs 16:9—“A man’s heart plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.”

2. Saturate your mind with Scripture

• God’s primary guidance manual (Psalm 119:105).

• The more His Word shapes you, the quicker you recognize His direction.

3. Pray for wisdom—and expect it

James 1:5 promises generous wisdom to the asker.

• Pray, then move forward believing He will clarify as you go.

4. Seek godly counsel

• Mordecai advised Esther; seek trusted believers who know the Word (Proverbs 15:22).

5. Submit your plans to the Lord

• Hold every desire loosely, ready for God’s redirections (Psalm 37:5).

6. Obey the light you have

• Haman illustrated disobedience; Mordecai, steady faithfulness.

• When you act on the guidance already given, further direction becomes clear (John 14:21).

7. Watch for doors opening or closing

• God shut Vashti’s chapter, opened Esther’s (Esther 2).

• Closed doors are as instructive as open ones (Revelation 3:7).

Living in Confident Expectation

Romans 8:28 assures all things “work together for good to those who love God.”

• Trust that God is arranging details—even the mundane—to guide you toward His best.

How does Esther 6:5 connect with Romans 8:28 about God's plans for good?
