How to support church leaders' wonders?
In what ways can we support leaders performing "many wonders" in our church?

Rooted Truth

Acts 2:43: “A sense of awe came over everyone, and the apostles performed many wonders and signs.”

Why Our Support Matters

• Wonders are God’s confirmation that His Word is true (Mark 16:20); encouraging leaders who walk in this grace helps keep the church aligned with God’s purposes

• Healthy support protects leaders from discouragement and spiritual attack (2 Corinthians 1:11)

• Genuine backing frees them to focus on prayer and the ministry of the Word (Acts 6:4)

Practical Ways to Stand With Them

Spiritual Backing

• Pray regularly for fresh anointing, wisdom, and purity of motive (Ephesians 6:18)

• Fast occasionally on their behalf, asking God to magnify Christ—not personalities—through every sign and wonder (John 3:30)

Relational Encouragement

• Speak life-giving words: “Let us consider how to spur one another on toward love and good deeds” (Hebrews 10:24)

• Send brief notes or texts after services highlighting how God moved, giving glory to Him while affirming His servant

Tangible Provision

• Share financial and material resources: “The one who is taught the word must share all good things with the one who teaches” (Galatians 6:6)

• Offer practical help—meals, childcare, administrative assistance—so they can focus on ministry

Honor and Submission

• “Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls” (Hebrews 13:17). Glad submission creates an atmosphere where God’s power flows unhindered

• Publicly honor without flattery (1 Timothy 5:17), always directing ultimate praise to Christ

Accountability in Truth

• Compare every teaching and manifestation with Scripture, like the Bereans (Acts 17:11)

• If concerns arise, approach privately and respectfully (Matthew 18:15), preserving unity while guarding doctrine

Team Ministry

• Encourage development of additional leaders so gifts multiply (2 Timothy 2:2)

• Volunteer on ministry teams—ushering, worship, prayer—sharing the workload that often accompanies supernatural ministry

Cultivating Expectant Faith

• Testify openly when God touches you through their ministry; testimony breeds faith (Revelation 12:11)

• Come to gatherings prepared—heart cleansed, Bible open, expectancy high (Psalm 5:3)

Fruit to Anticipate

When leaders who work “many wonders” are loved, honored, and rightly supported:

• The awe of God increases in the congregation (Acts 2:43)

• The gospel advances with boldness (Acts 4:29-31)

• The church grows in unity and generosity (Acts 2:44-47)

• Christ alone receives the glory (1 Peter 4:11)
