How to welcome diverse believers?
What actions can we take to welcome diverse believers into our church?

Scripture Focus: Luke 13:29

“People will come from east and west and north and south, and will recline at the table in the kingdom of God.”

God’s Open-Armed Plan

Genesis 12:3 – all families blessed through Abraham

Isaiah 56:7 – His house a house of prayer for all nations

Revelation 7:9 – a great multitude from every nation standing before the Lamb

Kingdom-Shaped Actions We Can Take

• Warm, intentional greeting that goes beyond a handshake

• Translated bulletins, song lyrics, and signage

• Scripture readings, prayers, testimonies shared by believers of varied backgrounds (Acts 10:34-35)

• Blended worship styles—hymns, contemporary, global songs (Psalm 98:4)

• Hospitality in homes: shared meals, cultural potlucks (Luke 14:12-14)

• Cross-cultural discipleship pairs (2 Timothy 2:2)

• Teaching on one-body unity from 1 Corinthians 12:12-27

• Inclusive visuals—photos, art, and décor reflecting diversity

• Community service projects done side by side (Ephesians 2:14-16)

• Bilingual communion readings (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

• Diverse elders and ministry leaders (Titus 1:5)
