Spotting God's glory daily?
How can we recognize God's glory in our daily lives today?

Setting the Scene

“ ‘In the morning you will see the glory of the LORD, because He has heard your complaints against Him.’ ” (Exodus 16:7)

• Israel had grumbled about hunger; God answered with manna.

• The glory they “saw” was not flashing lights but God’s faithful presence in everyday needs.

• That same, literal glory is still revealed whenever the Lord hears, answers, and sustains His people.

Recognizing God’s Glory in Daily Provision

• Meals on the table, income earned, health restored—each echoes Exodus 16.

James 1:17: “Every good and perfect gift is from above…”

• Pausing before eating, scheduling, or spending reminds us the Source has not changed.

Recognizing Glory in Creation’s Canvas

Psalm 19:1: “The heavens declare the glory of God…”

• Sunrise colors, bird-song at a red light, stars on a late walk—all daily cues to worship.

• Treating creation with care becomes a silent amen to what we’re seeing.

Recognizing Glory in Christ’s Presence

John 1:14: “The Word became flesh… we beheld His glory.”

• Through the Spirit, that glory indwells believers (Colossians 1:27).

• Simple acts—sharing the gospel, offering forgiveness, serving a neighbor—let His glory shine through us.

Recognizing Glory in Answered Prayer

• Israel’s complaints turned into testimony; ours can, too.

Philippians 4:6-7 connects prayer with peace that “surpasses all understanding,” displaying God’s weighty reality.

• Keep a journal of petitions and answers; patterns emerge that mirror manna falling each morning.

Recognizing Glory in Daily Transformation

2 Corinthians 3:18: “We… are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory.”

• Notice incremental growth—patience today that wasn’t there last year, courage that surprises you.

• Celebrate progress; it’s evidence that God is actively reshaping you.

Practical Rhythms for Seeing What’s Already There

• Begin the day with Scripture, ending with one sentence: “Here’s where I expect to see Your glory.”

• Build short “Selah stops” during commutes or chores to look up—literally or figuratively.

• Share one glory-sighting at dinner or over coffee; testimony multiplies awareness.

• End the day recounting provision, protection, and transformation; give thanks aloud.

Living Expectantly

Like Israel, we wake up to manna we did not earn. Each provision, each sunrise, each answered prayer is the same glory Exodus reveals—God acting, God near, God faithful. Train the eye of the heart to notice, and daily life becomes a continual glimpse of His majesty.
