Which scriptures stress seeking God?
What other scriptures emphasize seeking God and His faithfulness in response?

Setting the Stage: 2 Chronicles 15:4

“But in their distress they turned to the LORD, the God of Israel, and sought Him, and He was found by them.”

When Judah finally cried out, the Lord answered—literally, tangibly, undeniably. Scripture repeats this pattern, weaving a golden thread of promise from Genesis to Revelation: seek Him, and you will find Him.

Echoes from the Law

Deuteronomy 4:29 — “But from there you will seek the LORD your God and you will find Him if you search after Him with all your heart and all your soul.”

Deuteronomy 30:2–3 — Returning and obeying go hand-in-hand with God’s compassion and restoration.

What We Learn About God’s Faithfulness

• Seeking is always met with finding because His character guarantees it.

• The call spans every covenant era—Law, Prophets, Writings, Gospels, Epistles.

• God’s response is practical: rescue from fear, return from exile, refreshing of the soul, and righteous living.

• Wholehearted pursuit, not halfhearted curiosity, is the consistent qualifier.

• His nearness is both an invitation and a promise—“He will be found by you.”

Living It Out

• Cultivate intentional, daily seeking through Scripture, prayer, and obedience.

• Expect a faithful response—comfort, guidance, transformation—rooted in His unchanging Word.

• Remember that every season of distress is an opportunity to experience the same unfailing faithfulness Judah discovered in 2 Chronicles 15:4.
