And this is the blessing which Moses, the man of God, pronounced upon the Israelites before his death:

“The LORD came from Sinai, and rose from Seir like dawn over them; He shined forth from Mount Paran; and He came with ten thousands of holy ones, with a flaming fire in His right hand. 3Indeed, He loves the people; all His holy ones are in His hand: and are seated at Your feet; every one shall receive of Your words. 4Moses gave us the LORD’s law, as an inheritance (possession) of the congregation of Jacob (Israel). 5And He was king (their leader) in Jeshurun (in Israel), when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel gathered as one.

Then Moses said this about Reuben: “Let Reuben live, and not die; and let his men not be few.”

And this is his blessing of Judah: “Hear, O LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people; let his hands be sufficient for him; and be You a help to him from his enemies.”

And of Levi he said, “Let Your Thummim and Your Urim be with Your holy one, whom You proved at Massah, and with whom You strove at the waters of Meribah; 9Who said to his father and to his mother, ‘I have not seen him’; neither did he acknowledge his brothers, nor knew his own children; for they have observed Your word, and kept Your covenant. 10They shall teach Jacob Your ordinances, and Israel Your law; they shall put incense before You, and whole burnt sacrifices upon Your altar. 11Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands: strike through the loins of those that rise against him, and of those who hate him, so that they do not rise again.”

And of Benjamin Moses said, “The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety in Him; and the LORD shall shield him all the day long, and he shall dwell between His shoulders.”

And of Joseph he said, “Blessed of the LORD shall be his land, for the precious things of heaven - for the dew, and for the deep that stretches out beneath, 14For the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, for the precious things put forth by the moon, 15For the chief things of the ancient mountains, for the precious things of the lasting hills, 16For the precious things of the earth and its fullness, and for the good will of Him Who dwelt in the bush; let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him who was separated from his brothers. 17His glory is like the firstborn of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of a wild ox; with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth; and they are the tens of thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.”

And of Zebulun he said, “Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out; and, Issachar, in your tents. 19They shall call the people to the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness, for they shall feast upon the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hidden in the sand.”

And of Gad he said, “Blessed is he who enlarges Gad’s domain; Gad dwells there like a lion, tearing at arm or head. 21He chose the best land for himself, the leader’s portion was kept for him; and when the heads of the people assembled, he executed the righteousness of the LORD, and His judgments concerning Israel.”

And of Dan he said, “Dan is a lion's whelp; he shall leap from Bashan.”

And of Naphtali he said, “Naphtali is abounding with the favor, and filled with the blessing of the LORD: inherit land to the west and the south.”

And of Asher he said, “Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil. 25His shoes shall be iron and bronze; and as his days, so shall his strength be.”

“There is none like the God of Jeshurun (a poetic name for Israel), Who rides upon the heavens to help you, and on the clouds in His majesty. 27The eternal God is your refuge, and beneath you are His everlasting arms; and He shall drive out the enemy from before you; and say, ‘Destroy them’.

“Israel then shall dwell in safety; the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of grain and wine; where His heavens shall also drop down dew. 29Blessed are you, O Israel! Who is like you, O people saved by the LORD, the Shield of your help, and who is the Sword of your excellency? And your enemies shall be cowering liars before you; and you shall tread on their high places.”
