1And the LORD said to Moses, “Chisel out two tables (tablets) of stone like the first ones; and I will write upon these new tables the words that were in the first tables, which you broke. 2Be ready in the morning, and then come up onto Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to Me at the top of the mount. 3And no one else is to come up with you, nor be seen anywhere near the mount; not even flocks or herds grazing near the mount.” 4And Moses cut out two tables of stone like the first; and he arose early in the morning, and went up Mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, carrying the two tables of stone in his hand. 5And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. 6And the LORD passed by before him, proclaiming, “The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in goodness, love and truth, 7Keeping love and mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity, transgression and sin; but yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished; laying the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and the children's children, unto the third and the fourth generation.” 8And Moses quickly bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped. 9And he said, “If now I have found grace in Your sight, O LORD, let my LORD, I pray You, go with us; even though they are, indeed, a stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your inheritance.”

10And the LORD said, “Listen, I am making a covenant with you: I will perform wonders before all your people, such as have never been done in all the earth; and all the people among you shall see the work of the LORD; for it is an awe-inspiring thing that I will do for you. 11Observe and obey what I command you this day. Then I will go ahead of you, and I will drive out from before you the Amorite, Canaanite, Hittite, Perizzite, Hivite, and the Jebusite. 12Take heed that you make no treaty with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, or they will be a snare among you. 13Break down their altars, destroy their images, and cut down their idols and Asherah poles: 14For you shall worship no other god; for the LORD, Whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: 15So be careful that you make no treaty with the inhabitants of the land, when they invite you to play the harlot with their gods, and sacrifice to their gods, or invite you to eat one of their sacrificial meals; 16And do not choose their daughters as wives for your sons, for their daughters will play the harlot with their gods, and cause your sons to play the harlot with their gods. 17You shall make no molten gods. 18You shall keep the feast of unleavened bread: Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, in the month Abib; for in the month Abib, you came out from Egypt. 19All that are the firstborn are Mine; every firstborn among your cattle - ox or sheep, that is male. 20But the firstborn of a donkey you shalt redeem with a lamb: and if you do not redeem him, then shall you break his neck. All the firstborn of your sons you shall redeem. And none shall appear before Me without an offering. 21Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest: even in plowing and in harvest season, you shall rest. 22And you shall observe the feast of weeks - of the first fruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of the final harvest at the year's end. 23Three times in the year shall all your male children appear before the LORD God, the God of Israel. 24I will drive out the nations before you, and enlarge your territory; no man shall desire your land, when you shall go up to appear before the LORD your God three times in the year. 25You shall not offer the blood of My sacrifice with leaven; nor shall the sacrifice of the feast of the Passover be left until the morning. 26The best of the first fruits of your land you shall bring into the Temple of the LORD your God. You shall not boil a kid in his mother's milk.”

27And the LORD further said to Moses, “Write these words; for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.” 28And Moses was there with the LORD for forty days and forty nights; nor did he eat bread, or drink water. And He wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant - the Ten Commandments.

29And when Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tables of covenant (testimony – ten commandments) in his hand, Moses was not aware that the skin of his face shone while he talked with God. 30And when Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, the skin of his face was radiant; and they were afraid to come near him. 31But Moses called to them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned to him: and Moses talked with them. 32And later, all the Israelites came near: and he gave them all the commands that the LORD had given him on Mount Sinai. 33And while Moses was speaking with them, he put a veil on his face. 34But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with Him, he took the veil off, until he came back out. And he came out, and told the Israelites what he was commanded. 35And the Israelites saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses wore the veil on his face, except when he went in to speak with God.
